Choirs are a fantastic way for everyone to share and enjoy music and singing. Cheltenham Children’s Choir is aimed at all children who love to sing. The Children’s Choir meets in three groups – ‘Little Lyrics‘ for 5-8 year olds, ‘Vocalise‘ for 8-11 year olds and ‘Harmonise‘ for 11+.

Little Lyrics is for children aged 5-8. We play singing games, learn some simple vocal warm ups and learn a variety of music, always including a fun, upbeat number that the children will know well (i.e. songs from Matilda, Moana or Mamma Mia!).

Vocalise invites all children aged 8-11 to come along and sing a range of songs, from the children’s favourites to some well-known classics! This is a friendly, musical atmosphere where we also explore a little more about rhythm and harmony too.

Harmonise is a group of young people aged 11+ who enjoy singing together in harmony. A welcoming, musical group who learn a wide repertoire, and have the opportunity to perform at a number of events. Our young people learn a range of new musical skills whilst having fun!

For all groups, the aims are to help children understand a little about music, encourage young people to be the best they can be, make a great sound and of course, HAVE FUN.
